CarTest 4.5 Installation Help

Described here is a detailed step-by-step procedure for installing CarTest on a Windows 95/98 computer. The starting assumption is that the downloaded file, CarTest.zip, has been placed in a subdirectory called C:\CarTest

All of the steps below are performed in Windows Explorer. So, when you do the following, start in Windows Explorer showing the contents of the C:\CarTest subdirectory on the right hand part of the Windows Explorer window. There should be one file listed, CarTest.zip

Expand CarTest.zip into the files needed for CarTest.

  1. Double click on CarTest.zip. Extract the five files to the C:\CarTest subdirectory. They are CT.EXE, CT.DAT, CT.HLP, CT.TXT, and WHATS.NEW.
  2. Close this window by clicking on the X in the top right hand corner.
  3. You no longer need CarTest.zip. You may delete it later. Keep if for now though in case you need it again.

Now, this is all you need to do to install CarTest. To execute the program, double click on the "CT.EXE" name.
